Luxury Bamboo Cottages Bandhavgarh, Madhya Pradesh
Independent, charming, rustic family sized rooms with en-suite facilities. Created out of Bamboo and Jute, quietly blending in with the surrounding woodland whilst providing all creature comforts. A restful private patio overlooking the vista of jungles. Exquisite cane and wood furniture complete the inside- outside feel.
The bamboo construction provides all the best advantages of tented accommodation, yet retains the comfort, warmth and security of more conventional brick structures, so that one is able to fully experience the sounds of the night time jungle.
A raised, open plan Chakor-Ghar, with a central fireplace to keep guests warm while they look on the amazing views, spot their favorite birds flitting across the skies, amuse themselves watching the langurs at play or simply tuck into the delicious food served from our kitchen and bakery.
Indian Buffet lunches and 5 course continental dinners, fresh breads, desserts, cookies etc are all freshly prepared by our Delhi trained chefs, using organic ingredients from our kitchen garden.
An indoor seating and dining area is also available.
A screening room for guests to enjoy wildlife films, screen their own videos shot in the jungle, watch slide shows on bird and animal life presented by the in-house naturalist is also available.
At Junglemantra nothing is too much trouble for our guests.
Guests arriving by road at Junglemantra are greeted with a refreshing welcome drink and snacks even before they check-in. The check-in formalities are completed in informal comfort in the lounge.
Those guests arriving by train at Umaria (closest railhead) are met by one of our caring staff, who carries with him a welcome hamper, containing mineral water, soft drinks, snacks and fruit. Arrangements have been made in Umaria with a clean family run guest house for guests to be able to freshen up (western loo's ) before setting off for the resort, if they so desire.
At Junglemantra we never forget that the safety of our guests is paramount, and for those traveling by car, it rests in the hands of their drivers. Therefore, we provide comfortable overnight facilities for the drivers so that they are refreshed for onward travel.
At present Junglemantra has 7 Luxury Bamboo Huts accommodating 14 pax on a twin or double share. Extra beds can be provided on request.
