Activities in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve
The following is a list of additional activities offered to our guests.
1. Full-day Excursion- Indian Rural experience- Rs.500 per person
An escorted tour of Village Rancha where time seems to have stopped for the last 200 odd years. Guests can observe and participate in the day to day activities of the village folk- from milking the cows for fresh milk- then watch it being cooked and formed into mouthwatering sweets, watching the village women coat the walls and floors of their homes with a mud plaster, sharing a friendly puff on the village hukka, having a picnic lunch in the shade of a forest grove whilst watching the cattle graze, weaving a bamboo hat, returning to try their hands at the village potters wheel and ending the day as guests of honour at a meal at the Village headmans house (all meals provided by resort for hygiene reasons).
2. Handicraft workshops- duration 1-2 hours. Rs.500 per person
Pottery - with local village potter. Carry home your personalised
creations.
Local cuisine - take back the ancient recipes of the local delicacies of the MP region.Our Bundelkhandi chefs lead the group.
Bamboo basket/ Hat weaving- Led by a village expert.
Wildlife Tracking- Led by in-house naturalist and ex-mahout- learn to
read the footprints of various animals and track them with the help of
pug-marks, scats/ droppings. Make your own POP pugmarks- an invaluable
souvenier.
All materials/ingredients will be provided by the resort.
3. Visit to Gharpuri Dam- (approx 6km from resort)- Rs.500 per person
an ideal place to while away the morning watching droves of water birds and migratory birds.
4. Baghel Museam- Rs.500
Situated in Tala, is run by the Maharaja Rewa and houses interesting relics of the time when Bandhavgarh was a private hunting area.
5. Night Safari- Rs.500
One hour jeep safari in the buffer zone of the Bandhavgarh National Park. A unique opportunity to observe the nocturnal life of the jungle.
Triple excursion combo- Rs.1200 per person. (choose from any three of the
above excursions/ activities). Packed meals and mineral water will be
provided with the guests on all excursions. A Resort rep will accompany the guests on all excursions.
We also offer in-house entertainments like slide shows, talks by the
naturalist, wildlife film shows, tribal dancing, picnics in scenic spots etc as part of the Jungle Plan (no extra cost).
Payment procedures:
. 25% of the payment should be made at the time of booking to freeze the rooms.
. Remainder 75% should be paid at the Delhi office 7 days before the guest's arrival at the resort.
. Cheques to be made payable to, 'Remarkable Resorts Pvt. Ltd'.
. The above rates are inclusive of taxes.
