Island Beach Resort. Lakshadweep Island
As the name specifies Agatti Island Beach Resort is located
at Agatti Island of Lakshadweep group of islands in Arabian
Sea. Of late the Agatti Island has become literally a gateway
to Lakshadweep. It is here that the first and the only airport
to date has been established. Out of 36 islands of Lakshadweep
this is the most westerly of all islands. Areawise it is
the fifth largest among the Lakshadweep Islands. It is situated
at 10 51 Noth latitude and 72 11 East longitude. It is around
459 km away from headqarters Kavaratti. Areawise is only
2.7 sq.km.
It has length of 7576 meters and breadth of 568 meters.
Human habitation is confined only in northern part of the
island though habitation has started extending to southern
side.
Indian Airlines operate regular flights from Kochi, Kerala
to Agatti Island except on Sundays, Goa to Agatti on every
Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The ships also ply from Kochi
to Island average once a week.
Understanding the potential of the island the Agatti Island
Beach Resort has been set up. The 20-bed resort has been
set up at the southern uninhabited stretch of the island
making it an exclusive beach resort. This is the only island
where tourist can reach either by ship or by flight from
Kochi and this makes it the only island where tourist can
stay as long as possible without depending on the Ship schedule.
The island is also accessible to other satellite islands
of Agatti like Bangaram, Thinnakara, Parali I and Parali
II. Infact a visit to these island is must in the itenary
of any tourist.
THE RESORT
The resort is built on beach front in the southern tip of
Agatti Island. The location of the resort makes it an exclusive
heaven in solitude. Crystal clear lagoon is ideal for swimming
and all kinds of water sports. The coconut tree all over
the island forms a natural canopy. The flora and fauna in
the sea is varied and abundant. There are only twenty beds
in the resort and one is virtuallly alone in the island.
The serene atmosphere without the hustle bustle of the city
with only sound of the waves to break the silnce beckons
every city dweller to an unforgettable holiday to remember.
The decore of the resort harmonise with the natrure.
The resort is having an accomodatiom of 10 nos.double bedded
twin Sea facing cottages. One of them is Airconditioned.
The resort is also has a multi cuisine restaurant which
can serve fishes caught just minutes back and any Indian
cuisine.

Off the Kerala coast at 10 51 North latitude and 72 11 East
longitude in Arabian Sea.

HOW TO
GET THERE
Indian airline operate daily flights from Kochi (Kerala,
India) to Agatti island except on Sundays and every Monday,
Wednesday and Friday flight is there from Goa to Agatti.
Even though every body needs a permit to enter these islands
the formalities have been simplified for guest booking accomodation
at Agatti Island Beach Resort. All permit formalities will
be taken care of by the resort management once they are
book the accommodation at the resort. There are ship services
from Kochi to Agatti Island also. It taken 18 to 36 hours
to reach Agatti or Agatti to Mainland.
WHAT
TO DO
What would you do in paradise. The islands are known as
Coral Paradise due to its natural beauty. Whether is for
a laid back leisure holiday or an adventurous water sports
the resort is ideal. All types of watersports like kayaking,
canoeing, boating, glass bottom boat, snorkling, windsurfing,
sailing etc. If you want to catch the big fish one can go
sports fishing. Or just watch the how tunna fish in thousands
are caught in few minutes by exciting pole and line fishing.
Even to snooze away a lazy afternoon under the tall coconut
tree has got its own charm. Climb on to your hammock and
let others mind their own business.
If you want to explore near by islands of Bangaram, Thinnakara,
Parali I, and Parali II day trips to the islands are arranged.
